Biographies:
Amy Sharrocks is an artist, mother and swimmer, whose work spans over a decade of investigating people and water. In large public artworks for hundreds of people and intimate one-to-ones, her work centres in collaboration and attempts to notice the ways this extraordinary substance seeps through our days, whether swimming across London, dowsing the capital’s rivers or caring for an 8-year-old publicly curated artwork Museum of Water, shortlisted for European Museum of the Year 2016. Continuously examining the architecture of a moment, falling out of certainties and fixed opinions, learning and un-learning at all times, Amy’s work questions our systems and re-imagines the offer of cities, exploring our impact on the world and its impact on us.
